The page provides information for Suppliers considering becoming a Code Member.

Do I need to become a SMICoP Code Member?

Any party supplying electricity and/or gas to domestic and/or micro business customers who are installing SMETS compliant smart metering systems must become a SMICoP Code Member. It is recommended that Suppliers complete the Code accession process as soon as practicable and before beginning the Pre-Installation process for Smart Metering Systems in Code Section 2.

How do I become a SMICoP Code Member?

To become a SMICoP Member please complete the Code Accession form. Your application will then be presented to the SMICoP Governance Board (SGB) for approval.

What happens once I become a SMICoP Code Member?

You will be notified once your application has been approved by the SGB.

As a Code Member it is your responsibility to ensure that all Code obligations are met.

Where can I find additional information?

The Guidance, Forms and Templates page provides a number of useful documents and please also see the Code Member Submissions page for an overview of the submissions you should make to the Code Administrator.
